The Aggies raced out to the 5-1 lead in the first frame before Radford countered with a 7-1 run to grab an 8-6 advantage. The hosts reeled off the next four points to reclaim the lead (10-8).

N.C. A&T expanded its lead to 18-13 before the Highlanders mounted a charge. Once RU finally tied the set at 23, the visitors won the final two points to complete the comeback and snatch the first frame, 25-23.

The Highlanders floored the accelerator in the second stanza, staking a 20-9 advantage. However, the Aggies remained resilient by trimming the deficit to 23-18 later on. After a Radford timeout, the visitors won two out of the final three points of the frame to prevail in the second stanza and take a 2-0 lead into intermission.

It was the Aggies who established an early lead in the third stanza, building a 13-9 edge. The hosts extended that advantage to 20-14, prompting a Radford timeout. Out of the break, the Highlanders embarked on a similar comeback as they did in the first frame. RU initiated an 11-2 run to complete the late-game heroics to win the set (25-22) and the match.

With their non-conference slate behind them, the Highlanders return to Big South play beginning Friday at Coastal Carolina. The league contest with the Chanticleers is slated for 7:00 p.m. inside The HTC Center.
