RU HEADS TO EKU FOR THREE GAMES IN THREE DAYS THIS WEEKEND

RADFORD, Va. -
Fresh off its first win of the season, Radford heads to Richmond, Ky. and Eastern Kentucky University to face three opponents in a three-day stretch over the weekend. The Highlanders will face Towson on Friday at 8:00 p.m., Kennesaw State on Saturday at 8:00 p.m., and Eastern Kentucky on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.  All of the games can be heard live on the RU Radio Network.

Radford evened its record at 1-1 on Monday night as the Highlanders survived a furious rally by Cincinnati Christian to defeat the Eagles 76-71 in overtime. The win was the 10th straight home-opening victory for RU and its 35th in the 39-year history of the program. R.J. Price again led the team with 16 points. Javonte Green recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Kyle Noreen grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds.

Scouting Towson
The Tigers are 0-1 on the season after dropping their season opener to College of Charleston, 75-58. Three players scored in double figures for Towson in the opener, but the rest of the team managed just 10 points beyond those three. Jerrelle Benimon led the Tigers with 23 points. Blilal Dixon recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, including eight offensive rebounds. Kris Walden added 10 points, including a pair of three-point baskets.  Towson finished the 2011-12 season with a 1-31 overall record and nine straight losses.

Scouting Kennesaw State
The Owls evened their record at 1-1 on Monday night with a 67-65 overtime victory on the road at South Carolina State. KSU dropped its season opener to Tennessee. Delbert Love leads the team in scoring at 16.0 points per game. Two other Owls average in double figures - Aaron Anderson (14.0) and Markeith Cummings (12.0). Anderson leads the team in rebounding at 11.5 caroms per contest. KSU finished the 2011-12 season 3-28. Monday's win at SCSU snapped a 20-game losing skid for the Owls.

Scouting Eastern Kentucky
The Colonels enter the tournament at 1-0 with an 89-56 home win over Cincinnati Christian. EKU had four players in double figures in the win over the Eagles, led by Glenn Cosey's 20 points. He hit six three-pointers in that performance. The Colonels were 16-16 in the 2011-12 season.
