SIBLING RIVALRY AWAITS NOREEN, HIGHLANDERS SATURDAY AT WVU

GAME NOTES

RADFORD, Va. -
Bragging rights in the family household are on the line Saturday as Radford's Kyle Noreen and the Highlanders travel to Morgantown, W.Va. to face West Virginia and Kyle's older brother Kevin, along with the rest of the Mountaineers. Tip is set for 4:00 p.m. The Highlanders will be looking to snap a three-game losing skid.

THE SERIES
♦ West Virginia leads the all-time series 4-0 and 3-0 all-time in Morgantown. The series began in the 1991-92 season, and the teams last played in the 2008-09 campaign.
♦ The Mountaineers have dominated each of the previous games winning all of them by at least 30 points. The closest contest was played in Radford at the Dedmon Center, a 90-60 victory for the visitors in the 2007-08 season.
♦ This will be the first time Radford is playing West Virginia as an opponent from the Big XII Conference. RU is 0-2 all-time against the Big XII (Colorado 0-1; Kansas 0-1).

Former Highlander Stephen Barber is the color analyst for home games, while Tom Galbraith adds color commentary for RU road games.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS                                                                                                             
♦ West Virginia evened its record at 5-5 and snapped a two-game losing skid with a 76-71 victory at home over Oakland on Wednesday.
♦ Juwan Staten is the only Mountaineer averaging in double figures at 10.8 points per game. Staten also leads the team in assists at 2.8 per game. WVU has eight players that average more than 5.0 points per game. Aaric Murray is the second-leading scorer (9.7 ppg) and the leading rebounder (7.3 rpg).
♦ The Mountaineers average 15.8 offensive rebounds per game.
♦ West Virginia is 3-0 at home this season, including a home-opening win over a Big South Conference opponent, VMI, 94-69.
