STRONG SECOND HALF LEADS PRESBYTERIAN PAST RADFORD

BOX SCORE RADFORD, Va. – Al'Lonzo Coleman (23) and Khalid Mutakabbir (21) combined for 44 points and Presbyterian shot 65.2 percent in the second half as the Blue Hose defeated Radford, 77-64, in Big South men's basketball action Thursday evening at the Dedmon Center.
 
In addition to going 6-of-9 from the floor, Coleman missed just two of his 13 attempts at the line to go along with a game-high nine rebounds.
 
As a team, Presbyterian (13-15, 7-10 Big South) went 25-of-29 at the charity stripe and finished the contest shooting 55.8 percent (24-43).
 
Eric Washington also added double figures off the bench for the Blue Hose with 14 points.
 
Tolga Cerrah led the Highlanders with a season-high 14 points, R.J. Price added 13 and eight assists, while fellow freshman Javonte Green contributed 11.
 
Presbyterian opened the second half with a 14-5 run on 6-of-7 shooting to take its first lead of the contest, which it would stretch to as many as 14 with under a minute to play.
 
The Blue Hose finished with a 35-20 advantage on the glass.
 
Radford (6-24, 2-15 Big South) led by as many as seven on separate occasions in the first 20 minutes of action before the Blue Hose closed on a small run to tie the score 30-30 at the half.

Despite the loss, RU forced 20 turnovers which resulted in 24 points at the other end.
 
The Highlanders will conclude their regular season Saturday with a 4:30 p.m. Homecoming / Senior Day matchup against Charleston Southern.
