RADFORD, Va. –
Radford women's basketball welcomes UNC Asheville to the Dedmon Center for a 2 p.m. tip-off on Homecoming Saturday.  It is also the NCAA Pack the House game and part of a double-header with the men's team.

SERIES HISTORY
♦ Radford owns a 42-17 mark against the Bulldogs all-time.  The Highlanders have defended home court well, posting a 24-4 record.

THE OPENING TIP
♦ The two squads have met twice on Feb. 25 (1994, 1999) and have split in those contests.
♦ Radford leads the Big South in steals and ranks 10th in the nation with 12.3 per game.
♦ The Big South's fourth leading scorer Da'Naria Erwin Spencer paces the offense with 16.7 points per game while Ashley Buckhannon drops in 14.0 points.
♦ Already in the Top-10 in career assists, Erwin Spencer needs three steals to enter the career Top-10 in steals.  She would become the fourth player to make the list in both categories.  Erwin Spencer is also nearing the Top-10 in scoring and needs just 109 points for that list, as well.  She would join Stephanie Howard, Patrinda Toney and Johnette Walker as the only three players in history to make the Top-10 in all three categories.
♦ Victoria Hamilton and Sarah Tabblead the Highlanders in rebounds with 7.4 and 5.5 per game, respectively.

LAST TIME OUT
♦ Radford dropped its second consecutive contest with a 67-56 setback at Winthrop.  The Radford bench came through scoring 41 of the 56 total points.  Jordynn Gaymon led the way with a career-high 15 points to go along with 8 rebounds.  Tiana Cannon also contributed 13 points.  Hamilton collected a team-high 11 rebounds, her sixth double-digit rebounding performance this year.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
♦ The Bulldogs enter 8-17 overall and 3-11 in the Big South.  In addition, Asheville has dropped its last seven games and hasn't won on the road all season.
♦ Freshman Shonese Jones leads a very balanced scoring attack at 14.9 points per game, followed by Lindsey Thompson's 10.7 and Leah Wormack's 10.6 averages.  Against Radford on Jan. 30, Jones dropped a career-high 30 points and has upped her scoring in Big South games to 16.6 points per game.
♦ Asheville has the league's third leading rebounder in Kelli Riles, who averages 11.1 boards per contest.
