EKLUND REMAINS IN CONTENTION FOR BASH AT THE BEACH INDIVIDUAL TITLE

DAY 2 RESULTS
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Weston Eklund shot in the red (-1) for the second straight day and the Radford men's golf team is just seven strokes out of first place following the second day in the Bash at the Beach Monday.
Eklund carded a one-under 70, bringing his two-day total to a season-best 140. Eklund remains tied for third overall in a 92-player field. In addition, he is only four shots back of the individual leader, Vaita Guillaume of Campbell.
Radford combined to shoot 291 for the second straight day and sit in fifth place amongst 15 teams. The Highlanders (582) are separated by seven strokes entering final-round play.
“The team is playing with a lot of confidence right now and I feel like we are getting close to playing really good golf,” commented head coach Mike Grant.
Michael Wade is also in contention for a top finish, as he currently sits at one-over 143 and is tied for seventh place. Wade charted a second-round score of 73 (+2).
Callum Tarren, who is currently third amid Radford players, finished his round at four-over 75 and is tied for 31st with a two-day total of 148.
Close behind Tarren is Tanner Carbaugh and Paul Woodson. Carbaugh is in the four slot for Radford at 154 while Woodson sits at 155. Woodson carded Radford's second best round of the day with his two-over 73 - nine strokes better than his first day tally.
The second annual event is being played at The Surf Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C., which is a 54-hole, par-71 tournament. The course is 6,817 yards.
Final round action gets underway tomorrow morning.
