
TARREN, EKLUND SHINE ON SECOND DAY OF C&F BANK INTERCOLLEGIATE

DAY 2 RESULTS
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Callum Tarren posted a career-best round and Weston Eklund tied for fifth to lead Radford men's golf on the second day of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate on Monday.
Starting on hole 10 today, Tarren was one-under through the first seven holes due to a birdie on the par-5 15th. He returned to even par after dropping a shot on 17, but would get back in the red with a birdie on the par-3 second. After giving two swings back over the next three holes, Tarren finished out his day with a par on 6, birdie on 7 and pars on 8 and 9 to finish up at even-par 71. The 71 bettered his career-low 18-hole tally by two strokes.
Tarren brought his two-day total to 146, also a career-low and is currently tied for 16th. He had a huge swing up the individual standings, jumping 48 positions.
Eklund charted Radford's second-best tally on the day at one-over 72. After going two-over on his first nine holes, he shot in the red at one-under over the back nine. Eklund penciled in birdies on No. 2, 7 and 16. Eklund is currently tied for fifth place and is three shots back of the individual leader heading into the final 18 holes.
As a team, the Highlanders (586) moved up one position to fourth in a 29-team field by way of a 297 four-player score.
In his first even since the spring opener, Matt Harman charted a solid round at five-over 76. Harman began his day going five-over on the first nine holes and held that score with nine straight pars to close out the round.
Michael Wade highlighted his seven-over 78 round with a birdie on the par-5 third. He is now tied for 28th.
Also competing for Radford is Wade Wawner, who finished with a 79 today and is tied for 68th.
