MEN’S GOLF FINISHES 11TH AT COCA-COCA WOFFORD INVITATIONAL

RESULTS
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Weston Eklund and Callum Tarren each entered the clubhouse with 220 54-hole scores and led Radford men's golf to an 11th-place showing at the 24th-annual Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
Eklund posted an even-par 72 in the final round, while Tarren carded a two-over 74. Each player finished at 220 (+4) and tied for 32nd overall in a 90-player field.
Eklund charted his 14th round at or under par this year. Tarren wrapped up the event with two eagles and carded a career-best 54-hole total.
As a team, Radford (299-292-294) went 22-under in par-5 scoring and had 45 total birdies. The Highlanders finished 11th in the team standings with an 885, just one shot out of the Top-10.
Michael Wade finished third in Radford's team score at eight-over 224. He tied for 49th on the individual leaderboard due to his five-over 77 performance in the third and final round.
Tanner Carbaugh shot 74 for the second straight day and joined Ryan Rettberg with a final total of 227.
The 24th-annual event was held at The Country Club of Spartanburg on a par-72, 6,648-yard course. Charleston Southern took the team crown with a tournament record 841.
Radford's final competition of 2012 will come in the Big South Championship Apr. 16-18, held at The Patriot Club at Grand Harbor in Greenwood, S.C.
