RU LOOKS TO MAINTAIN MOMENTUM SATURDAY AT GARDNER-WEBB

RADFORD, Va. -
After evening its Big South record vs. Longwood on Wednesday, Radford looks to keep building on that positive play when the Highlanders travel Saturday to face Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs, N.C.  Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. from Paul Porter Arena.

THE SERIES
♦ The all-time series between these two school is tied 5-5.
♦ The road team has dominated this series. Both teams boast 4-1 records in the series on the opposing home court.
♦ Radford defeated the Runnin' Bulldogs in Boiling Springs last season, 58-54, which snapped a three-game losing streak in the series for the Highlanders.
♦ The series began in the 2007-08 season, a year prior to the Runnin' Bulldogs joining the Big South Conference.

SCOUTING THE RUNNIN' BULLDOGS
♦ Gardner-Webb enters tonight's game at 10-8 overall and 2-2 in the Big South Conference.
♦ The Runnin' Bulldogs are tied for second in the South Division with UNC Asheville and Coastal Carolina. Those three teams are two games behind division leader and undefeated Charleston Southern (4-0).
♦ GWU is the only Big South team to reach the 10-win plateau so far in the 2012-13 campaign and one of three teams with an overall winning record.
♦ Gardner-Webb is 7-1 at home this season. The only loss came to Lipscomb, 66-62, in November.
♦ The only non-conference team in common on both schedules was The Citadel. Both the Runnin' Bulldogs and the Highlanders defeated The Citadel by double digits.
♦ Gardner-Webb is the top defensive team in the Big South giving up just 61.1 points per game.
♦ GWU is led by three scorers in double figures - Donta Harper (14.2), Tashan Newsome (13.5), and Max Landis (10.4). Harper is 10th in the league and Newsome 16th in scoring.

♦ The Highlanders lead the Big South in steals per game at 10.1. That ranks the team ninth in the nation in that category.
Javonte Green leads the Big South in steals at 2.4 per game.
R.J. Price leads the Big South in three-point field goals made per game at 2.9.
R.J. Price scored a career-high 30 points vs. Longwood. Price became the first Highlander since Art Parakhouski to score 30 points in a game. The last time was 2/2/10 vs. VMI.
R.J. Price moved from 17th in scoring in the Big South up four spots to 13th in the league with his 30-point performance.
Javonte Green tied career highs vs. Longwood with 13 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.
Ya Ya Anderson tied career highs vs. Longwood with 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
Javonte Green recorded his fifth double-double this season with 13 points and 13 rebounds vs. Longwood. He now has 12 career double-doubles.

LINEUP SHUFFLE
R.J. Price returned to the starting lineup at North Carolina A&T after healing from an injured ankle. Price missed two games against Charlotte and West Virginia, and returned off the bench against Central Penn. Rashun Davis started in his place against Charlotte, West Virginia, and Central Penn.
Brandon Holcomb, who started the first five games at center, replaced Kion Brown prior to the Charleston Southern game on Jan. 5. Brown had started nine straight.
Blake Smith and Javonte Green have started every game this season.
Jalen Carethers started in place of Kyle Noreen at Charlotte.
♦ The Highlanders have used four different starting lineups this season.
♦ The current projected starting lineup listed below has started nine games this season and been used in each of the last four games.
