RU TAKES WINNING STREAK ON THE ROAD TO CAMPBELL

COMPLETE GAME NOTES

RADFORD, Va. -
Fresh off one of the most exciting victories in RU history, the Highlanders remain on the road Wednesday in an important Big South division game at Campbell. The Camels are tied for the North Division lead with VMI, and just a single game ahead of Radford. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m. from Buies Creek, N.C.

THE SERIES
♦ Radford leads the all-time series 17-11. Campbell won last year's only matchup in the Dedmon Center, 73-65. It had been four seasons since the two teams played each other in a non-conference home-at-home series in the 2007-08 and 2006-07 seasons.
♦ The Highlanders are 5-7 in games at Campbell and 0-4 in Buies Creek (previous games were played in Fayetteville), and have dropped four straight to the Fighting Camels on the road. The last win for Radford at Campbell came in the 1991-92 season.
♦ Radford won the first five times these two teams played as the series began in the 1984-85 season a year prior to the beginning of the Big South Conference.
♦ Campbell was a founding member of the Big South until leaving the league after the 1993-94 season. The Camels rejoined the league in the 2011-12 season.

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING CAMELS
♦ Campbell enters Wednesday's game with an overall record of 9-10 and a 4-1 mark in the Big South Conference, which is tied for the lead on the North Division.
♦ The Fighting Camels have won six of their last seven games. The only loss since Christmas is a 19-point loss at VMI a week ago.
♦ The Camels and the Highlanders only had one common non-conference opponent. Both teams fell in the pre-conference season to North Carolina A&T.
♦ Campbell is 6-3 at home this season and 2-0 at home in Big South play.
♦ Campbell's leading scorer, Darren White, who averages 21.8 points per game, has missed the last four games and is listed as out indefinitely with a knee injury. White also leads the team in rebounding at 7.2 rpg.
♦ Trey Freeman is the team's other leading scorer at 14.4 points per game, which ranks ninth in the Big South. He also leads the conference at 6.0 assists per game.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
♦ Radford has won back-to-back Big South games and is above .500 in the league for the first time in three seasons.
♦ With its 52-51 victory at Gardner-Webb, the Highlanders won a one-point game for the first time since 2009 winning at UNC Asheville, 66-65.

Blake Smith and Javonte Green have started every game this season.

Ya Ya Anderson has scored in double figures in three straight games off the bench.
Brandon Holcomb grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds at Gardner-Webb.
