HIGHLANDERS HOST PANTHERS IN BIG SOUTH SHOWDOWN ON WEDNESDAY

FULL GAME NOTES

RADFORD, Va. -
Radford looks for its first win in the conference season Wednesday night as the Highlanders play host to High Point at the Dedmon Center. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m. in this Big South Conference North Division tilt.

THE SERIES
♦ Radford leads the all-time series, 17-16. The Highlanders vacated a victory from the 2010-11 season per an NCAA ruling.
♦ Radford is 11-5 all-time in games between the two schools played at Radford.
♦ The two teams split the season series last year with each team winning on its home floor.
♦ The series dates back to the 1979-80 season when the teams played each other in a home-and-home series. The teams did not play each other for nearly two decades thereafer, meeting again in the 1998-99 season and every season since.
♦ After High Point won the first game in the histoy of the series, the Highlanders won nine straight games, the longest streak between either team. The Panthers longest winning streaks in the series include a seven-game and a five-game consecutive wins stretch.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
♦ High Point enters tonight's game on a two-game winning streak, including a Big South opening road victory over Winthrop, 74-61 on Saturday. The Panthers are 6-7 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
♦ The Panthers and the Highlanders played three similar opponents in the non-conference season: Wake Forest, Eastern Kentucky, and William & Mary. The two teams were a combined 0-6 against those three like opponents.
♦ John Brown is the third leading scorer in the Big South and 41st in the nation at 18.4 points per game. He leads the league in steals moving in front of Radford's Javonte Green this week at 2.3 thefts per game. Brown is also the seventh leading rebounder in the conference at 6.9 rebounds per contest, and he is third in blocked shots at 1.8 per game.
♦ Allan Chaney ranks tied for 15th in the league in scoring at 13.4 points per game, and he is the league's fifth-leading rebounder at 7.8 per game. He is second in the league in free throw percentage at 88.9.
♦ The Panthers are the top free throw shooting team in the Big South at 74.9 percent.

LINEUP SHUFFLE
R.J. Price returned to the starting lineup at North Carolina A&T and Charleston Southern after healing from an injured ankle. Price missed two games against Charlotte and West Virginia, and returned off the bench against Central Penn. Rashun Davis started in his place against Charlotte, West Virginia, and Central Penn.
Brandon Holcomb, who started the first five games at center, replaced Kion Brown vs. Charleston Southern for his sixth start of the season. Brown had started nine straight.
Blake Smith and Javonte Green have started every game this season.
Jalen Carethers started in place of Kyle Noreen at Charlotte.
♦ The Highlanders have used four different starting lineups this season.

♦ Radford has dropped five straight Big South regular season games dating back to last season's 58-54 win at Gardner-Webb on Feb. 9.
♦ Radford has dropped seven straight Big South regular season home games dating back to last season's 85-66 win over High Point on Jan. 17.
♦ RU has won five straight overtime games dating to a 73-71 loss at Navy on 11/29/08.
♦ Radford has won nine straight home overtime games dating back to the home-opener of the 2002-03 season vs. Howard.
