SAYER MOVES INTO FOURTH ALL-TIME IN CAREER SINGLES WINS

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Senior Nicholas Sayer recorded his 76^th career singles victory to move into fourth all-time in program history as the Radford men's tennis team concluded play Sunday at the UVa Fall Classic. The three-day tournament was contested at the Snyder Tennis Center and the Boar's Head Inn.

Entering the day tied with former teammate Igor Ogrizek with 75 wins, Sayer broke the tie when he earned a thrilling three-set triumph over Big South rival Garik Yedigarian of Coastal Carolina (4-6, 6-3, 10-8) in the blue singles draw.

Seeded No. 1 in the red singles draw, Patrick O'Keefe won his first three matches en route to earning a spot in Sunday's flight final. Awaiting the junior was William & Mary's Aaron Chaffee. Like Sayer, O'Keefe went three sets with his opponent, but suffered a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 defeat.

Joe Mills faced league foe Stan Vaughan of Liberty for third place in the white singles draw. Vaughan upended the senior in straight sets (6-3, 6-3).

The Highlanders return to action in two weeks when they compete in the ITA Atlantic Regional hosted by Virginia Tech at Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
