NORFOLK, Va. –
Following its first loss of the season, the Radford women's basketball team will look to regroup Sunday when the Highlanders face Old Dominion at 2 p.m. inside the Ted Constant Convocation Center.

MEET THE MONARCHS
» Old Dominion has not played since Monday, when the Monarchs also suffered their first defeat of the season, a 73-61 loss to Virginia Tech.
» ODU was picked to finish sixth in the Conference USA Coaches' Preseason Poll. Junior Shae Kelley was selected as one of only eight players to the preseason all-conference team.
» Stephanie Gardner averages 20.5 points per game and hits 42.9 percent of her attempts from downtown. Kelley is the only other double-figure scorer for the Monarchs at 13 points per contest. She also pulls down a team-best 10.5 rebounds each time out.
» As a team, ODU connects on 35.9 percent of its shots from the floor, including 34.1 percent efficiency from three-point land.
» The Monarchs are outrebounding their opponents, 47.5-41.5. In addition to forcing 20 turnovers per game, ODU averages 79 points per outing while giving up 70 to its counterparts.

OLD DOMINION SERIES AT A GLANCE
» Radford is 1-10 all-time against its in-state rivals from the Tidewater region. The two sides first met during the 1973-74 campaign.
» Sunday's encounter will be the first time the Highlanders play in the Ted Constant Convocation Center.

LAST TIME OUT
» Norfolk State placed three players in double figures, offensively, as the Spartans handed Radford a 66-54 loss in nonconference women's basketball action Friday night at Joseph Echols Hall.
» Trailing by as many as 14 in the second half, the Highlanders (2-1) fought back and cut its deficit to seven (53-46) after Kermisha Clark split a pair of free throws. However, NSU capitalized on its trips to the charity stripe down the stretch to derail Radford's comeback.
» Rachel Gordon had a superb night with game highs of 16 points and 16 rebounds for Norfolk State (1-1). Fueled by a game-high three treys, Ebony Brown chalked up 14 points, while Rae Corbo contributed 12 points. The Spartans connected on 24-of-58 (41.4 percent) from the hardwood.
» Breshara Gordon and Ayana Avery both dropped in 14 points to pace the Highlanders. Jordynn Gaymon reeled in a team-high 10 rebounds. RU shot 33.3 percent (22-66) from the floor.
» Norfolk State erased a 6-0 deficit early in the first half by mounting a 17-0 rally that spanned over eight minutes. Breshara Gordon's jumper at the 10:12 mark broke Radford's scoring drought and ignited a 15-4 run by the Highlanders to tie the score at 21 with 3:46 to go before halftime. The Spartans went into break on top, 29-25.
