RADFORD, Va. –
The Radford women's basketball team plays its sixth road game in a row Saturday when the squad travels to Lynchburg, Va. to battle Liberty inside the Vines Center. The Big South clash gets underway at 2 p.m.

MEET THE FLAMES
» After getting off to a slow start, Liberty has won three of its last four contests to enter Saturday's game at 3-5.
» The Flames picked up their first home win Tuesday night against Richmond, 76-61.
» Liberty was selected the Big South preseason favorite for the 16th time in the past 17 seasons. The Flames won their 15th conference crown last March.
» Having already played two in-state opponents this season, Liberty is 0-2. The Flames lost to James Madison (67-56) and to Virginia (61-60). They were 8-0 against Commonwealth foes in 2012-13 and had won 10 consecutive prior to this season.
» Liberty is led by its strong sophomore class, which features Katelyn Adams, Sadalia Ellis, Jaymee Fisher-Davis, Catherine Kearney and Ashley Rininger. The sophomore class is scoring 60.3 percent of Liberty's points thus far, averaging 40 ppg.
» Rininger is the lone player averaging double-figure scoring for the Flames at 15.4 ppg, which is the fifth-best mark in the Big South. She also pulls down a team-best 9.5 rpg.
» Liberty leads the league in free-throw percentage (.765) and rebounding margin (+15.2).

LIBERTY SERIES AT A GLANCE
» In addition to leading the all-time series, 35-24, the Flames have dominated Radford as of late, winning 13 of the previous 14 meetings. However, the last win for the Highlanders in the series came at the Vines Center three seasons ago, 62-53.

UP NEXT
» Following exam week, Radford plays its first game inside the Dedmon Center since Nov. 12 when the Highlanders welcome Appalachian State for a 7 p.m. tip on Dec. 16.
