RADFORD LOOKS TO REGROUP IN BRACKETBUSTERS MATCHUP AT SIENA

RADFORD, Va. -
Coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss to Campbell earlier in the week, the Radford men's basketball team gets a break from the Big South slate on Sunday when the Highlanders travel to Albany, N.Y. to take on Siena in the final edition of ESPN's BracketBusters games.

THE SERIES
♦ Siena leads the overall series 2-0.
♦ The two teams have not played since the 2000-01 season when the Saints won an overtime contest, 65-59 in Albany.
♦ The originial meeting was a Siena win, 74-72, at the Naismith Classic in the 1989-90 season.
♦ Radford is 6-6 all-time vs. the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (1-1 Iona; 0-1 Marist; 1-0 Niagara; 2-2 Rider; 2-0 St. Peter's; 0-2 Siena).

BRACKETBUSTERS
♦ Radford is 2-1 all-time in BracketBuster games.
♦ The Highlanders are 0-1 in BracketBuster road games (William & Mary, 2011).

SCOUTING THE SAINTS
♦ Siena enters Sunday's game with a 6-21 overall record and a 4-12 mark in the MAAC. The Saints have lost five straight games.
♦ Siena is 3-9 at home this season and 0-4 at home vs. non-conference opponents.
♦ The Saints have four players who average in double figures in scoring. O.D. Anosike (12.7), Rakeem Brookins (11.9), Rob Poole (11.3), and Evan Hymes (11.0) account for 79.6 percent of the scoring for SU.
♦ Anosike averages 11.5 rebounds per game, which ranks second in the nation. He also ranks fifth in the nation with 15 double-doubles on the season.

STATS NUGGETS
♦ Radford is 3-11 this season and 1-6 in non-conference road games.
♦ The Highlanders lead the Big South in steals per game at 8.8. That ranks the team 25th in the nation in that category.
Javonte Green is second in the Big South in steals at 2.1 per game.
Javonte Green recorded his 8th double-double this season with 20 points and a career-high 16 rebounds vs. VMI. That followed a 23-point, 13-rebound performance at Liberty and a 27-point, 13-rebound game vs. Presbyterian. He now has 15 career double-doubles.
R.J. Price leads the Big South in 3-point field goals made per game at 2.88.
Allen Dickerson set a career high with six points vs. Campbell.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
Javonte Green is averaging 16.8 points and 9.3 rebounds in Big South play (14 games).
R.J. Price is averaging 15.6 points per game in conference play. He is also shooting .382 (42-110) from behind the three-point arc.
♦ Radford is 5-0 this season when holding opponents under 60 points.

HIGHLANDERS IN THE CAREER AND SEASON RECORD BOOKS
Blake Smith currently ranks 4th in career steals at RU with 182 and 9th in defensive rebounds at 290.
Javonte Green ranks 7th all-time at RU with 176 offensive rebounds. For the 2012-13 season, Green ranks on the single-season charts as well: Tied for 7th with 57 steals, 9th with 145 defensive rebounds, tied for 9th with 88 offensive rebounds, tied for 9th with 233 total rebounds.
R.J. Price ranks 9th all-time in three-point field goals made with 137.

HARD TO BELIEVE STAT
Jalen Carethers has 17 career steals in his two years as a Highlander. They have all come one at a time in 17 different games.

♦ Radford can only get the #2 seed by sweeping High Point and Liberty AND Campbell losing to Longwood and High Point.
