HIGHLANDERS AIMING FOR SERIES SWEEP OVER PANTHERS

Complete Game Notes

RADFORD, Va. -
Radford still has hopes of earning a first-round bye in the Big South Tournament by getting to the No. 2 seed in the North Division. To keep that goal within reach, the Highlanders will need a road victory at division champion High Point on Wednesday night. The Highlanders defeated the Panthers in January and are looking to sweep the season series. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m. from the Millis Center.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
♦ Since the Highlanders saw the Panthers in January, and defeated them, High Point has rolled to a North Division title by winning 10 of its 13 games. HPU has a four-game lead in the Big South North Division standings.
♦ The Panthers are 16-11 overall and 11-3 in the Big South, but enter Wednesday's game having lost their BracketBusters contest at home to Morgan State.
♦ High Point is 9-4 at home this season, including a perfect 6-0 mark in the league.
♦ HPU is led by a dynamic duo of John Brown and Allan Chaney. Brown averages 17.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Chaney puts up 14.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest. They both shoot 52 percent from the floor. The pair combined for 35 of High Point's 54 points in the earlier game at the Dedmon Center (Brown 22, Chaney 13).

THE SERIES
♦ Radford leads the all-time series, 18-16, including a 59-54 victory at the Dedmon Center in early January.
♦ Radford is 6-10 all-time in games between the two schools played at High Point.
♦ The two teams split the season series last year with each team winning on its home floor.

BIG SOUTH - NORTH DIVISION RACE
♦ Radford can only get the #2 seed by sweeping High Point and Liberty AND Campbell losing to Longwood and High Point. The Panthers have wrapped up the division title.

STARTING LINEUP
♦ The Highlanders have used six different starting lineups this season.
Javonte Green is the only player that has started every game this season.
♦ The current projected starting lineup of R.J. Price, Ya Ya Anderson, Kyle Noreen, Javonte Green, and Brandon Holcomb started together for the first time at Liberty and stayed together for five games. Rashun Davis started for Ya Ya Anderson in Radford's last contest at Siena.

RU SPORTS RADIO NETWORK
♦ Each Radford men's basketball game can be heard live in the New River Valley on the RU Sports Radio Network on the flagship, WRVU 89.9-FM and on the commercial affiliate, WBLB 1340-AM. Rick Watson handles the play-by-play for the Highlanders.
♦ The stream can also be heard world-wide on www.radfordathletics.com.

OVERTIME OR BUST
♦ For the first time in program history, Radford lost back-to-back overtime games vs. Campbell and Siena.
♦ Only two other times have the Highlanders played back-to-back overtime games: in 2002-03 vs. North Carolina A&T (W) and Howard (L), and in 1978-79 vs. Longwood (W) and Emory & Henry (W).
