HIGHLANDERS FACE RIVAL FLAMES TUESDAY IN LYNCHBURG

RADFORD, Va. -
Radford will look to end a two-game skid Tuesday night at the Vines Center on the campus of Liberty University as the two Big South rivals meet in an important conference game. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m., and the game will be carried live on ESPN3.


SCOUTING THE FLAMES
♦ Liberty enters Tuesday's game with a 7-16 overall mark and a 3-6 record in the Big South's North Division, good for fifth place.
♦ Liberty is 6-5 at home this season and 3-2 in league games at the Vines Center.
♦ The Flames are effective behind the three-point line. They lead the Big South in 3-point field goal percentage defense holding opponents at .292 (16th in the nation), and they are second in the league in shooting percentage from deep on offense at .368 (37th in the nation).
♦ Davon Marshall leads the team in scoring (12.5 ppg) and is one of the top three-point shooters in the Big South. He is second behind R.J. Price in makes per game from deep (2.74) and third in three-point shooting percentage (.423).
♦ The Flames also have two other players averaging in double figures - Tavares Speaks (11.7 ppg) and John Caleb Sanders (11.6 ppg).
♦ J.R. Coronodo is the third leading rebounder in the Big South (8.7 rpg).
♦ The Flames and the Highlanders both lost to their only common non-conference opponent, William & Mary.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
R.J. Price is averaging 17.0 points per game in conference play (9 games). He is also shooting .416 (32-77) from behind the three-point arc.
Javonte Green is averaging 14.3 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in Big South play.

STARTING LINEUP
♦ The Highlanders have used four different starting lineups this season.
Blake Smith and Javonte Green have started every game this season.
♦ The current projected starting lineup of R.J. Price, Blake Smith, Kyle Noreen, Javonte Green, and Brandon Holcomb has started 14 games this season and been used in each of the last nine games.

STATS NUGGETS
♦ The Highlanders lead the Big South in steals per game at 9.3. That ranks the team 13th in the nation in that category.
♦ Radford also leads the league in turnover margin (+2.61) and forces more turnovers per game than any other team in the Big South (16.6).
Javonte Green is tied for the lead in the Big South in steals at 2.2 per game.
Javonte Green recorded his fifth double-double this season with 13 points and 13 rebounds vs. Longwood. He now has 12 career double-doubles.
R.J. Price leads the Big South in three-point field goals made per game at 3.1.
Jalen Carethers set career highs in both rebounds (8) and blocked shots (4) at Coastal Carolina.
Lucas Dyer scored a career-high 8 points at Coastal Carolina.
