PLENTY ON THE LINE SATURDAY FOR SENIOR DAY VS. LIBERTY

RADFORD, Va. - Radford has hopes of a No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in next week's conference tournament when the Highlanders face arch-rival Liberty at the Dedmon Center on Saturday. The regular season finale and Senior Day is scheduled to begin at 4:30 following the RU women's game vs. Gardner-Webb.

SCOUTING THE FLAMES
♦ Liberty enters today's game in fourth place in the Big South North Division with a 10-20 overall record and a 5-10 mark in the conference. The Flames are 2-11 on the road this season and 1-6 on the road in Big South games.
♦ John Caleb Sanders leads the Flames with a 13.7 point average. He scored 19 points against the Highlanders earlier this season when Liberty won 75-70 over RU.
♦ Tavares Speaks (13.0) and Davon Marshall (12.6) also average double figures for the Flames. JR Coronado is their leading rebounder at 8.5 per game.
♦ The Flames shoot .425 from the floor, .358 from behind the three-point arc, and .707 from the free throw line.
♦ Liberty averages 68.4 points and gives up 71.0 points per game.

THE SERIES
♦ Radford leads the all-time series 32-29. Radford is 21-7 in games played at home against the Flames. Liberty has won five straight in the series.

SENIOR DAY • BLAKE SMITH
♦ Named to the Big South All-Freshman team in 2009-10 season.
♦ Led the Big South in steals and ranked 13th in the nation with 2.4 per game as a sophomore in 2010-11.
♦ Entering today's game: 113 games, 63 starts, 806 points, 377 rebounds, 199 assists, 49 blocked shots, and 182 steals. That places Smith fourth all-time at RU in career steals.

BIG SOUTH - NORTH DIVISION RACE
♦ With a win over Liberty and a High Point win over Campbell today, the Highlanders would be the No. 2 seed in the North Division and receive a first-round bye in next week's tournament. RU can finish at any of the No. 2, 3, or 4 seeds from the North.
♦ If RU beats Liberty and Campbell beats High Point, Radford in the No. 3 seed.
♦ If Liberty beats RU and Longwood beats VMI, Radford in the No. 3 seed.
♦ If Liberty beats RU and VMI beats Longwood, Radford in the No. 4 seed.

Javonte Green recorded his 8th double-double this season with 20 points and a career-high 16 rebounds vs. VMI. That followed a 23-point, 13-rebound performance at Liberty and a 27-point, 13-rebound game vs. Presbyterian. He now has 15 career double-doubles.
R.J. Price leads the Big South in 3-point field goals made per game at 2.9.
Rashun Davis finished one point shy of his career high with 17 points at High Point.

Kion Brown tied a career high with 14 points at High Point.

Blake Smith currently ranks 4th in career steals at RU with 182 and 9th in defensive rebounds at 290.
Javonte Green ranks 7th all-time at RU with 179 offensive rebounds. For the 2012-13 season, Green ranks on the single-season charts as well: 7th with 59 steals, 9th with 156 defensive rebounds, 9th with 91 offensive rebounds, and 9th with 247 total rebounds.
R.J. Price ranks 9th all-time in three-point field goals made with 142.

HARD TO BELIEVE STAT
Jalen Carethers has 17 career steals in his two years as a Highlander. They have all come one at a time in 17 different games.
