SCHEDULE CHANGE AS HIGHLANDERS HOST IONA

RADFORD, Va. - The Radford / Iona two-game baseball series will now take place as a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 12 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the RU Baseball Stadium. The Highlanders and the Gaels will play a nine-inning contest in game one and a seven-inning game in the nightcap. There will no longer be a game on Wednesday.

Radford and Iona have never met on the diamond.

The Highlanders are now 6-7 on the season after taking one game from St. John's in the home-opening series over the weekend. The Gaels are 2-11 entering the series with wins over Mount St. Mary's and Lehigh. Iona has lost five games in a row.

Radford took the middle game of a three-game set from St. John's over the weekend, 5-4. The Highlanders fell 4-3 in the opener and 12-9 in the final game of the series. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for RU.
