RADFORD, Va. – Meeting for the first time since the semifinals of the 2013 VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South women's basketball tournament, Radford and Longwood are set to collide Thursday at 7 p.m. inside the Dedmon Center.
 
MEET THE LANCERS
» Longwood outscored Gardner-Webb, 33-18, in the second half to post a 59-57 come-from-behind win over the Runnin' Bulldogs Saturday afternoon at Willett Hall.
» Fueling the charge was sophomore guard and preseason All-Big South selection Daeisha Brown, who charted a game-high 19 points for the Lancers. The Richmond, Va. native leads Longwood and the Big South in scoring at 17.8 points per game. She has converted 45.7 percent (80-175) of her attempts from the floor.
» Winners in three of their past four contests, the Lancers moved to 3-4 in Big South play after starting 0-3 in the league.
» Brown's classmate, Raven Williams, joins her as the only other Lancer to average double-figure scoring (11.9).
» Khalilah Ali pulls down a team-best 6.1 rebounds per game.
» Longwood averages 57.9 points per game and allows 65.9 points per game. The Lancers collect 35.6 rebounds per game.
» At 26.1 percent, Longwood has the lowest 3-point field goal percentage in the Big South. However, the Lancers average nearly six 3-pointers per game, which rank third in the conference.
 
LONGWOOD SERIES AT A GLANCE
» Despite losing four of the previous five meetings, Radford leads the all-time series, 18-12. The two sides met three times during the 2012-13 season, with Longwood winning twice.
