RADFORD HOSTS LANCERS SATURDAY IN BIG SOUTH / ESPN3 GAME OF THE WEEK

Radford hosts Longwood at the Dedmon Center on Saturday in an important divisional matchup that will be carried live on ESPN3 as the Big South Game of the Week. The tip is set for 4:00 p.m. The Highlanders are looking to bounce back after their first home loss of the season Wednesday to VMI. RU remains tied for first place in the North Division of the Big South.

• Each Radford men's basketball game can be heard live in the New River Valley on the RU Sports Radio Network on the campus flagship, WRVU 89.9-FM and on the commercial affiliate, SuperSports 101.7-FM. Rick Watson handles the play-by-play for the Highlanders.


SCOUTING THE LANCERS
• Longwood has dropped six straight games under first-year head coach Jayson Gee.
• Tristan Carey leads the Lancers in scoring (17.4) and rebounding (6.1).
• Lucas Woodhouse leads the Big South in assists (7.3).
• Longwood's win at TCU earlier this season was the first Big South win over a Big XII team in 15 years.


SERIES NOTES
• Radford leads the all-time series 13-5.
• Radford is 9-0 all-time vs. the Lancers at home and 5-0 all-time at the Dedmon Center. The first four times the Lancers visited Radford, the Highlanders defeated them in Peters Hall prior to the Dedmon Center opening in December of 1981.
• Prior to last year's win by Longwood in Farmville, the Highlanders had won four straight in the series.
• The two teams have only met 3 times as Division I opponents with RU holding a 2-1 advantage in those games.

MILESTONES
• Javonte Green became RU's 20th all-time 1,000-point scorer on December 30 vs. Houghton. He now has 1,090 points and 596 rebounds.
• R.J. Price became RU's 21st all-time 1,000-point scorer on January 15 vs. VMI. He now has 1,005 points.
• R.J. Price is also climbing the ranks in three-point field goals made. Now with 180 for his career, he moved into 7th place all-time at RU.
• R.J. Price has moved into the Top 10 all-time at RU in assists. He currently ranks 10th with 252 career dimes.
• Javonte Green needs 8 rebounds to move into the Top 10 at RU all-time. He currently has 596 career caroms, good for 11th place.
• Javonte Green ranks 8th all-time at RU with 146 career steals.
• Javonte Green has 18 career double-doubles.

QUICK NOTES
• Javonte Green leads the Big South in field goal percentage (.561).
• RU is 3-1 against NCAA Tournament teams from last year. (W vs. Liberty; W vs. North Carolina A&T; W vs. Florida Gulf Coast; L vs. UNLV).
• Prior to this season, RU had never recorded double-digit wins prior to Big South Conference play.
• Radford has won 12 of its first 18 games for the first time in 20 years (1993-94).
• Kion Brown recorded his first career double-double at Hampton with 12 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.
• Brandon Holcomb set a career high with 10 points at Santa Clara.

• Rashun Davis set a career high with 25 points vs. VMI.
• Kyle Noreen set a career high with 12 points vs. VMI.
• Jalen Carethers tied a career high with 4 blocked shots vs. VMI.
• Kion Brown recorded his first career double-double at Hampton with 12 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.
• Brandon Holcomb tied a season high with 10 rebound vs. VMI.


PROJECTED STARTING LINEUP
• This lineup (R.J. Price, Ya Ya Anderson, Kyle Noreen, Javonte Green, and Brandon Holcomb) has started together 21 (13-8) times overall and 16 times (11-5) this season. The group did not start the George Washington and Central Penn games this season. Mike Jones has used three different starting lineups during the 2013-14 season.
