Highlighted by Vincent Wyatt's second victory of the season in the 60-meter hurdles, Radford returned to competition for the first time in over a month.
Â
Also picking up top-10 finishes were Teresa Williamson (3,000 meters – fourth), Morgan Harris (long jump – 10th), Brianna Young (shot put – eighth), Joseph Betts (400 meters – fourth), Steven Graham (400 meters – eighth), Eric Graves (800 meters – ninth), Anthony Aviles (high jump – seventh), Garrett Knudson (shot put – sixth), the men's DMR (sixth) and the men's 4x400-meter relay (eighth).
Â
THERE HE GOES AGAIN
For his two first-place showings in the 60-meter hurdles, junior Vincent Wyatt has already been named the Big South Choice Hotels Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week twice this season.
Â
Wyatt, who holds all 10 of the program's top times for the 60-meter hurdles, won the Liberty Kickoff (8.08) and the Virginia Tech Invitational (7.78). The latter time currently ranks sixth in the nation and is the top mark in the conference.
Â
An All-American last season, Wyatt is striving for a return to the NCAA indoor track and field championships. Student-athletes with the top 16 times for the 60-meter hurdles at the conclusion of the indoor regular season punch their ticket to Albuquerque, N.M.
Â
YOU SAY SHE'S A FRESHMAN?
Freshman Tess Rogers wasted little time in raising eyebrows in her first meet as a Highlander. The Lawsonville, N.C. native tied the pole vault school record at the Liberty Kickoff with a mark of 10-feet 6-inches to place third. Her measurement is tied for ninth among Big South competitors entering this weekend's action.
Â
