RADFORD, Va.  – The Radford women's basketball team will be back at the Dedmon Center Saturday to play Campbell as part of a doubleheader, which gets underway at 2 p.m. with the men battling Coastal Carolina. The women collide with the Camels at 5 p.m.

MEET THE CAMELS
» Campbell is coming off one of its biggest wins of the season, a 77-74 overtime victory over Winthrop. The Eagles were tied for first place in the Big South entering the game.
» Radford and Campbell met for the first time this season on Dec. 2, 2013. Ayana Avery dropped in a game-high 17 points and 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the season, but the Highlanders suffered a 72-58 defeat in Buies Creek, N.C.
» In her 33rd season at the helm of her alma mater, Wanda Watkins notched her 500th career victory at home against UNCW on Nov. 16th. She became the 27th active Division I head coach to reach the 500-win milestone. In addition, she is one of only 12 active head coaches across all divisions to complete 32 seasons at the same school.
» Roslyn Presley, who scored a game-high 22 points against Winthrop Thursday, leads the Camels with her 13.3 points per game.
» Closely behind in the scoring column is Kiera Gaines, who averages 11.9 points per outing to go along with her team-best nine rebounds per game, which is the fourth-highest average in the league.
» Campbell is among the best in the Big South when it comes to defense. The Camels surrender 61.3 points per game, which is the second-best average in the conference. They are also a threat from beyond the arc, where the team shoots 34.7 percent. Campbell's 16.89 assists per contest are tops in the Big South.

CAMPBELL SERIES AT A GLANCE
» Radford has a commanding 19-10 edge in the all-time series with the Camels. However, Campbell snapped a five-game winning streak in the series by the Highlanders when it won, 83-77, in overtime last season. The Camels have gone on to win three in a row over RU.

UP NEXT
» Radford travels to South Carolina for a two-game road swing, which includes stops at Coastal Carolina (Jan. 30) and Charleston Southern (Feb. 1).

SHAVE FOR SUTTON
Prior to the Radford men's and women's basketball doubleheader at the Dedmon Center on Saturday, Jan. 25, members of the RU baseball team will shave their heads and offer free shaves to fans in support for Sutton Smith, a local five-year-old Highlander fan who is battling leukemia and has been adopted by the team.

To raise awareness, the squad is promoting and participating in "Shave For Sutton" which will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Riverside Entrance to the arena. The men's basketball game vs. Coastal Carolina begins at 2:00 p.m. with the women's game vs. Campbell to follow. The games are also the annual Coaches vs. Cancer games for the basketball teams.

With the help of local barbers and the coaching staff, several members of the team will shave their heads. Following the Highlanders' participation, fans will be allowed to show their support for Sutton by stepping up to the chair throughout the basketball contests. "Sutton's Squad" wristbands will be handed out to those who show their support.

Follow Sutton's fight on Twitter @SuperSAdventure or like his cause on Facebook at facebook.com/supersutton5.
