RADFORD, Va.  – The Radford women's basketball team will look to avenge its heart-breaking loss to Coastal Carolina earlier this season when the two squads meet for round two Thursday at The HTC Center in Conway, S.C.

MEET THE CHANTICLEERS
» Coastal has lost five of its previous seven outings, including Saturday's 90-61 decision against Winthrop in Rock Hill, S.C.
» The Chanticleers enter Thursday's game 10-10 overall under the direction of first-year head coach Jaida Williams. She became Coastal's sixth head coach in its 40-year history on April 11. Williams spent the 2012-13 season on the sidelines at Wake Forest as an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator where she built a top-20 recruiting class.
» In their nine games played at The HTC Center, the Chants are 6-3.
» Junior guard AJ Jordan directs the Coastal offense at 15.8 points per game, which rank fifth in the Big South. Angelica Henry is ninth at 14.2 points per outing and third in assists (4.6).
» In addition to averaging 11.5 points per game, Alexx Puckett is the Chants' top rebounder at 6.4 per contest.
» Coastal averages a Big South-best 72.1 points per game, while surrendering the same amount, which is the worst average in the conference. The Chants convert 40.6 percent of their attempts from the hardwood, including 34 percent from downtown (third in Big South). They also rank third in free-throw shooting at 72.2 percent.

COASTAL CAROLINA SERIES AT A GLANCE
» Radford has been impressive in the all-time series with Coastal Carolina, gaining a 40-18 edge. In the two sides' first meeting this season, the Highlanders were in front for a large portion of the game before Angelica Henry drove the length of the court, drew the foul and converted a pair of free throws with seven seconds remaining to propel the Chants to their comeback victory. The last two games in this series have been decided by one point, including Radford's last trip to The HTC Center, which was a 52-51 setback.

UP NEXT
» Radford continues its two-game road swing through South Carolina with a stop in Charleston for Saturday's 2 p.m. contest against Charleston Southern. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
