CLINTON, S.C.  – Two women's basketball teams in search of their first Big South win meet on the hardwood Saturday afternoon as Radford and Presbyterian College clash at 2 p.m. inside the Templeton Center in Clinton, S.C.

MEET THE BLUE HOSE
» Presbyterian nearly erased a 17-point second-half deficit Thursday night, but Longwood held on for the 46-43 victory over the Blue Hose. Longwood led PC by 17 points at the 15:38 mark of the second half before the Blue Hose mounted a comeback lasting through the rest of the game. Over the next seven and a half minutes, PC rattled off a 20-5 run to get within two points with 5:59 left. A free throw three and a half minutes later cut the Lancers' lead in half, but Presbyterian would get no closer. Longwood earned its first conference triumph of the season in the process, something Radford will be striving to accomplish Saturday in Clinton.
» The top defense in the Big South only surrenders 52.1 points per game, which are over six points per game lower than second-place Campbell (58.8).
» Through the Blue Hose's 13 games, they have only allowed NC State and Auburn to score 60+ points. Additionally, six teams have been held under the 50-point threshold when playing PC.
» Senior guard Karlee Taylor, who played in her 100th career game against Longwood Thursday, leads the Blue Hose in scoring (9.3).
» Of Presbyterian's 11 losses, six have been by seven points or fewer.
» Like Radford, the Blue Hose are gunning for their first Division I win of the season. PC's two wins were against Columbia College and Truett-McConnell, while the Highlanders' two victories were against Emory & Henry and Lynchburg.
» Ronny Fisher, who is in his sixth season at the helm of the Blue Hose, was the 2013 Big South Coach of the Year after guiding his squad to a 19-12 record and an appearance in the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI).

PRESBYTERIAN SERIES AT A GLANCE
» Out of the 14 all-time meetings, Radford has only lost twice to the Blue Hose. In the two sides' last meeting, the Highlanders upended PC, 41-38, in the quarterfinals of the 2013 VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South Women's Basketball Tournament. It was the lone neutral site matchup between the two sides in the history of the series.

UP NEXT
» Following its two-game road swing through the Carolinas, Radford returns to the Dedmon Center for a three-game homestand, which begins Thursday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. against first-place Winthrop.
