BIG SOUTH ANNOUNCES "TWEET YOUR WAY TO MYRTLE BEACH" CONTEST

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference will give one lucky fan behind the scenes access to the 2014 VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South Basketball Championships through its new "Tweet Your Way to Myrtle Beach" twitter contest, the League announced today. The contest will run from Jan. 6, 2014 through Feb. 25, 2014.

"We are excited about the promotion and hope to get the Big South fans involved and engaged with our brand of basketball," said Big South Assistant Director of Public Relations and contest organizer Nic Bowman. "We think this is something fans can get excited about, and it also gives the winner a chance to experience behind the scenes events at the Championships that fans don't get to see."

Fans can participate in the contest by using the hashtag #BSCHoopNation and tweeting about their favorite Big South team, story lines and happenings during the 2013-14 Big South Men's and Women's Basketball seasons. The Conference will select one participant who has been the most active and engaged during the season.

The winner will receive lodging in Myrtle Beach, a seat on press row and behind the scenes access at the 2014 VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, from March 7-9. The winner will tweet about the games, press conference interviews and their experience during the Championships.
