RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's basketball team is set to open a three-game homestand Thursday night when it hosts Winthrop at 7 p.m. inside the Dedmon Center.

MEET THE EAGLES
» Winthrop suffered its first Big South loss Saturday afternoon at Gardner-Webb, 69-56.
» The Eagles bounced back with a 68-46 triumph over N.C. Central Tuesday night in their final nonconference contest of the season.
» Fans in attendance Thursday night will get a glimpse of one of the most prolific scorers in Big South Conference history as two-time player of the year Dequesha McClanahan visits the New River Valley. The Oak Ridge, Tenn. native, who has already broken the Winthrop scoring record, is on pace to set the Big South scoring record. The current mark is 2,154 points held by former Liberty standout Elena Kisseleva. McClanahan's tally entering the Radford game is 1,936. She also has the Winthrop career assists record with 638, breaking the previous mark of 612. For the season, McClanahan is dishing out eight assists per game, which lead the Big South.
» Despite ranking second in the league with her 17.5 points per game, McClanahan has struggled to find her shooting touch as of late. The senior is a combined 13-for-58 (.224) in her three games prior to Thursday's matchup.
» McClanahan and sophomore center Schaquilla Nunn are ranked among the nation's leaders in assists per game and rebounds per game, respectively. Nunn is questionable for the Radford game after missing three straight games due to a sore knee. The 2013 Big South Freshman of the Year leads the Big South in blocks and is second in rebounding.
» Aiding the two preseason all-conference selections is freshman Erica Williams. She has been named The Crons Brand Big South Freshman of the Week three times this season and is averaging 13.9 points per game.
» Winthrop ranks third in field goal percentage (.407) and first in field goal percentage defense (.350) among Big South schools.

WINTHROP SERIES AT A GLANCE
» Radford leads the all-time series, 53-13, despite dropping seven of the previous 10 meetings. The Highlanders were defeated by Winthrop, 67-62, at Winthrop Coliseum in last season's only encounter. Radford's last home win in the series came on Feb. 21, 2011.
