The top two seeds have advance through to Sunday's Big South Men's Soccer Tournament championship game at Bryan Park in Greensboro, N.C. Top-seeded Radford and No. 2 Coastal Carolina will face off for an automatic berth into next week's NCAA Tournament. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. The Highlanders are making their seventh title game appearance in school history and the first since 2007.
Radford earned the top seed for the tournament earlier in the season and later won the regular season title outright with a 1-0 victory over the Chanticleers. It was only the second time in four seasons a Big South team has come away from a game vs. Coastal with a clean sheet defensively.
RU has won three previous Big South Tournament titles in 1988, 1999, and 2000. The Chants are making their 15th all-time and third straight appearance in the championship game. They have 11 titles to their credit, including being the defending champion after a 2-0 win over Liberty last season.
The game will be carried live on ESPN3.
