Radford (2-3) faces a familiar opponent, North Carolina A&T (1-4), in an unfamiliar place Friday in the opening round of the upper division of the Corpus Christi Coastal Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Highlanders and the Aggies, who have played each in each of the past two seasons, will tip at 1:30 p.m. (ET) in the first of four games on the day at the American Bank Center.

The Highlanders defeated A&T 72-52 last season at the Dedmon Center to take a 6-2 lead all-time in the series. NCAT posted a four-point win in Greensboro the year before. Aggies' head coach Cy Alexander was an assistant coach at Howard when Mike Jones played there in college. Radford had its two-game winning streak snapped at TCU on Wednesday, while A&T had lost four straight since opening the season with a victory over Greensboro College.

• Javonte Green needs 7 steals to become the RU all-time career leader. He currently has 186 career thefts.
• Green needs 43 points (1,457) to become the 2nd RU player in history to reach 1,500 points and 800 rebounds (Chris Oliver: 1,659 p / 845 r). Green has 804 career rebounds.
• Green needs 42 to break Oliver's RU career rebound mark.
• R.J. Price needs 43 points (1,270) to move into the RU career top 10 ranks (Tyrone Travis / David Smith - 1,313, tied for 9th).
