RU OPENS FIVE-GAME HOME STAND TUESDAY

After playing seven of its first nine games on the road this season, the Radford men's basketball team returns to the Dedmon Center on Tuesday night to begin a five-game home stand to finish the calendar year. The Highlanders face Johnson & Wales (N.C.) at 7:00 p.m. to begin the home stretch of games.

Each RU men's basketball game can be heard live in the New River Valley on the RU Sports Radio Network on the campus flagship, WRVU 89.9-FM and on the commercial affiliate, SuperSports 101.7-FM. Rick Watson handles the play-by-play for the Highlanders. The video of each home game and road conference game is also carried live on the Big South Network with FREE access.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Johnson & Wales is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) with four campuses around the country. These Wildcats are from Charlotte, N.C. and have won four of their last five games to move to 6-7 on the season. Rickey Porter (14.1 ppg) leads the team in scoring and rebounding (7.5 rpg). J&W has faced two other Big South teams this season, both losses, at Campbell and at UNC Asheville.

THE HIGHLANDERS
Radford had its three-game winning streak snapped at Georgetown on Saturday. In that game, Javonte Green became the fifth Highlander to exceed the 1,500-point mark for his career. He also stands just two rebounds (843) of tying the school record held by Chris Oliver and three steals (189) from tying the career mark held by Rod Cousin. Both Green (12.8 ppg) and R.J. Price (12.4 ppg) average in double figures for the Highlanders. Green leads the Big South in rebounding at 9.6 rpg. RU is unbeaten (2-0) at home this season.
