RADFORD, Va. – It is that time of year when postseason implications are at stake. Such is the case Thursday when Radford hosts Liberty in a Big South women's basketball game at the Dedmon Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

MEET THE FLAMES
» After losing back-to-back Big South games for the first time since 1997, Liberty has won five of its last six contests. The Flames' 13-5 mark in league play has them in third place entering the final week of play.
» Liberty was selected the Big South preseason favorite for the 16th time in the past 17 seasons. The Flames won their 15th conference crown last March.
» With a win Thursday night, Liberty will keep its hopes of a regular-season title alive. First-place Winthrop and second-place High Point play Thursday night as well.
» Ashley Rininger, the reigning Big South women's basketball player of the week, leads the Flames in scoring at 14.8 points per game. She totaled 18 points and a career-high 15 rebounds in the two rivals' first encounter this season. Rininger ranks seventh among Big South players in scoring and fourth in rebounding (9.1).
» Rininger is one of 12 underclassmen on Liberty's 16-player roster. Freshmen and sophomores are scoring 79.3 percent of the Flames' points, grabbing 78.6 percent of their rebounds and playing 76.2 percent of the team's minutes.
» At 42.3 percent, Liberty leads the Big South in field goal percentage. As usual, the Flames are also the top team in rebounding margin (+14.3).
» Liberty is under the direction of Carey Green, who is in his 15th season at the helm. He ranks as the 10th-winningest active NCAA Division I women's basketball coach.

LIBERTY SERIES AT A GLANCE
» In addition to leading the all-time series, 36-24, the Flames have dominated Radford as of late, winning 14 of the previous 15 meetings. However, the last game between these two inside the Dedmon Center was a close one. Liberty rallied late to post a 67-65 come-from-behind win.

UP NEXT
» Radford will hold its Senior Day against High Point on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Highlanders will honor their lone senior, Breshara Gordon, prior to tipoff.
