Radford opens Big South play Friday at VMI with a 4:00 p.m. start in the three-game series opener at Gray-Minor Stadium in Lexington, Va. The Highlanders have won seven of their last nine games and enter the conference slate at 9-8 on the season. RU has won four straight series over VMI in the last five seasons.
VMI enters the series at 9-7 overall and 7-2 at home. Conversely, Radford is just 1-4 on the road this season with its lone win coming at Georgia Tech. The Highlanders have dropped four straight road games since defeating the Yellow Jackets in the opening weekend of the season.
