ASHEVILLE AWAITS IN FRIDAY'S BIG SOUTH QUARTERFINAL

CONWAY, S.C. - After advancing in the Big South Tournament for the first time in the Mike Jones era with a 78-73 win over Presbyterian on Wednesday, the Radford men's basketball team will face the No. 2 seed from the South Division, UNC Asheville, in the second of four quarterfinals Friday at the HTC Center. Tip is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

BIG SOUTH TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Radford is 23-25 all-time in the Big South Tournament.
• Radford is 17-17 all-time in neutral site matchups.
• Radford is 9-10 all-time when the tournament is played in South Carolina.
• Radford is 1-3 in tournament games played at Coastal Carolina (1-1 at HTC Center).
• Radford won Big South Tournament titles in 1998 and 2009.

EARLIER MATCHUP VS. ASHEVILLE
• Both teams were snowed in at the Dedmon Center when 22 inches of snow in Radford forced officials to close the nationally-televised game to the public.
  Rashun Davis and Ya Ya Anderson both scored 21 points to lead RU to a 102-92 win.

MILESTONES
• Javonte Green became RU's 26th all-time 1,000-point scorer on December 30 vs. Houghton. He now has 1,337 points (7th all-time at RU) and 734 rebounds (8th all-time at RU).
• Javonte Green ranks 5th all-time at RU with 172 career steals.
• R.J. Price became RU's 27th all-time 1,000-point scorer on January 15 vs. VMI. He now has 1,183 points (16th all-time at RU).
• R.J. Price is also climbing the ranks in three-point field goals made. Now with 214 for his career, he is in 5th place all-time at RU.
• R.J. Price ranks 7th all-time at RU with 285 career assists.

TEAM QUICK NOTES
• Radford reached 20 wins during the regular season for the first time since the 1993-94 season.
• Radford is assured of its 29th winning season out of 40 years as a program.
• Radford completed its 16th winning season in Big South play at 10-6 (30 seasons).
• RU is 4-1 against NCAA Tournament teams from last year. (W,W vs. Liberty; W vs. North Carolina A&T; W vs. Florida Gulf Coast; L vs. UNLV).
