Due to inclement weather, Radford's schedule at Elon this weekend has been altered. Today, the Highlanders will play Towson at 4:00 p.m. Tomorrow, Radford faces the Tigers at 10:30 a.m. and the Phoenix at 3:30.

Last Time Out – Facing four teams in the top-25, Radford went 1-4 at the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic last weekend in Kissimmee, Fla… The Highlanders opened the tournament with a 6-1 win over Maryland, before dropping their final four games against then-No. 17 Missouri, then-No. 23 Notre Dame, then-No. 25 Auburn and No. 1 and undefeated Florida… Against Maryland, Rachael Walters struck out nine over six innings and Radford used a four-run fifth to pull away… She surrendered a run on three hits and struck out a batter in each inning… The four-run two-out rally in the fifth was highlighted by a two-run home run by Jessie Hutchens and Summer Robinson's two-run double… In a 7-1 loss to Missouri, Radford left 13 runners on base, having someone in scoring position every frame.

Highlander Bites & Numbers – In RU's three wins this season, it has scored exactly six runs in each contests… Hutchens' long ball was her first of the season and 16^th of her career… Robinson recorded her first collegiate extra base hit and RBIs against the Terps… Freshman Augusta Clarke registered her first collegiate hit against Auburn… Walters nine punchouts were the most for her in the seven-inning game… She is 3-2 with a 2.01 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 31.1 innings, while holding opponents to a .228 average… Julie Gardner is batting .360 with two doubles, two homeruns, four RBI… She is slugging .680 and owns a .529 on base percentage (9 BB)… Nia Chiles is batting .320, while Hutchens has knocked in a team-best five runs.

The Phoenix – Elon (13-5-1) has won five straight, which included a perfect 4-0 at the Elon Phoenix Tournament followed by a 4-2 over Presbyterian on Wednesday… The Phoenix are 2-2-1 against the Big South this season, defeating the Blue Hose twice and tying Charleston Southern… Elon bats .306 with 27 home runs and is averaging 5.8 runs per game… Five Phoenix bat over .300 led by Alaina Hall (.397) and Emily Cameron (.396)… Hall has a team-best five doubles, 18 runs and eight stolen bases… Cameron has a program-best six home runs, 18 RBIs and .774 slugging percentage… Caitlin O'Shea is 3-1 with a 1.54 ERA in nine relief appearances… In 51.2 innings and 10 starts, Chelsea White is 6-3 with a 3.66 ERA and 27 strikeouts.

Series: Radford owns a 19-6 advantage over Elon with the majority of those meetings taken place when the Phoenix were members of the Big South… The Phoenix did win the last matchup, taking a late season non-conference doubleheader by the scores of 11-10 and 5-1 on April 30, 2011 in Elon… RU's last win was an 8-0 victory on May 22, 2010 at the NCAA Regionals hosted by Georgia.

The Tigers – The Tigers (7-5) join Radford and Elon after canceling their home tournament this weekend… Towson has not played since Feb. 23 defeating Lafayette and Longwood in the final two games of the Longwood Classic… They bat .310 as a team, average six runs per game and have three player batting .400 or better; Jessica South (.476), Mo Hepner (.425) and Hailey Balk (.400)… Hepner has racked up 17 hits, two doubles, a triple, two home runs, 13 RBI and eight runs with a team-best .675 slugging percentage and a .489 on base percentage… South has a .500 on base percentage… Balk has registered six double, eight RBI and 11 runs… Olivia Yarbrough (15 runs) and Missy McCormick (3 HR, 21 RBI) lead Towson in their respective categories… Ambar Hickman is 4-0 with a 2.90 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 29 innings… McCormick (3-2, 3.54) has logged a staff best 31.2 innings.

Series: Radford is 5-6 all-time against Towson… The last time the teams faced off, the Tigers won 4-3 on Feb. 29, 2008 at East Carolina… Radford's last victory was a 6-5 victory on Feb. 20, 2005.
