HIGHLANDERS FACE NO. 1 VIRGINIA TUESDAY NIGHT IN CHARLOTTESVILLE

Radford (18-16) travels to Charlottesville, Va. on Tuesday to play top-ranked Virginia (30-6) at Davenport Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., and the game will be carried live on the RU Sports Network.

The Highlanders are coming off a 2-1 series loss to perennial Big South power, Coastal Carolina. Radford is 3-2 in its last five games and tied for third place in the Big South North Division entering this non-conference game. The Cavaliers won a three-game series from Clemson over the weekend and have won 13 of their last 15 games, including a 20-2 mark at home this season.

Radford defeated Virginia a year ago, 9-8 at Davenport, when the Cavaliers were ranked No. 4 in the nation, which is the highest ranked team RU has beaten in school history. That win snapped a nine-game winning streak for UVA in the series, which the Cavaliers lead 18-4-1.
