RADFORD, Va. – Radford and Campbell are tied for third place in the Big South women's basketball standings at 5-2. That tie will be broken when the two teams square off Saturday at 1 p.m. inside Gore Arena in Buies Creek, N.C. The conference clash will be an ESPN3 broadcast with Evan Lepler and Phil Ford on the call.

RADFORD ROUNDUP
The Highlanders (8-8, 5-2 Big South), who have won five straight games for the first time since Jan. 2013, find themselves tied with Campbell for third place in the Big South standings entering the weekend. Radford has been a tough opponent on the road, earning a 4-3 mark, which is tied with Liberty for the best road record in the Big South.

Senior Ayana Avery is the only double-figure scorer for RU at 10.3 points per game. She is one of the Highlanders' top threats from beyond the arc. The 5-foot-5 guard has a team-high 37 3-pointers (tied for the most in the conference) through 16 contests. Her 2.3 3-pointers per game rank first in the Big South.

Over in the rebounding department, freshman Janayla White pulls down eight caroms per contest. Her average ranks eighth in the conference. On top of her rebounding, White ranks fifth in the Big South in blocks per game, rejecting 1.8 shots per outing. In conference-only games, RU ranks second in the league with its +7.3 rebounding margin.

Paced by Aisha Foy's .421 clip from long range, Radford tops the Big South in 3-point field goal percentage (.329). Foy is one of two Highlanders who average over 30 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

RU will be aiming to snap a four-game losing skid in the all-time series with Campbell, which the Highlanders lead, 19-11. Radford's last win in the series came on Feb. 6, 2012 in Buies Creek.

SCOUTING CAMPBELL
Like Radford, the Camels (10-6, 5-2 Big South) are one of the hottest teams in the league. They have won five of their previous six games, with their lone setback to High Point, the defending Big South regular-season champion.

Campbell has been a difficult team to defeat at home, posting a 7-1 record inside Gore Arena. Elon has been the only team to escape Buies Creek with a victory, downing Campbell, 77-51. The Camels are 3-0 at home against Big South foes, defeating Presbyterian College, UNC Asheville and Gardner-Webb.

Amanda Coffer, a sophomore forward, is Campbell's leading scorer at 13.4 points per game. She ranks second in the league in field goal percentage (.534) and is tied for third in blocks per game (1.8).

Kiera Gaines, the Big South Defensive Player of the Year last season, averages 12.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game for the Camels. Among conference players, Gaines only trails High Point's Stacia Robertson (2.9) in steals per game.

RaeChaun Edwards manages the offense with her 6.6 assists per game. That average leads the Big South and ranks 10th, nationally.

Campbell leads the league in assists per game (16.19) and assist/turnover ratio (0.82), and ranks second in steals per game (9.31).
