HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Charleston Southern hit .500 and .444 in the fourth and fifth sets, respectively, en route to earning its first Big South volleyball win of the season, 3-2, over Radford, Saturday evening inside the Dedmon Center.

  • Radford's loss snapped a four-match winning streak in the CSU series.
  • Savanna Burton charted the first 20-20 match of her career (20 kills, 21 digs).
  • Megan Short and Cheyanne James chipped in 15 and 10 kills, respectively.
  • Three Highlanders tallied at least two aces, led by Valerie Gonzalez's three.
  • Gonzalez added a team-high six blocks.
  • Haley Kleespies tossed out 56 assists in managing a Radford offense that hit .228.
