HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Radford unleashed 47 kills on its way to claiming its first win in the Vines Center since 2001 by defeating Liberty, 3-1, in Big South volleyball action Friday night.
  • RU hit .393 en route to a 25-17 win in the opening stanza.
  • The Highlanders held Liberty below .100 on the attack in the third and fourth sets.

  • Megan Short paced all Radford players, offensively, with a match-high 17 kills. She has cranked 53 kills in her last three matches.
  • Maddie Palmer delivered 10 kills in her first action in a month.
  • Savanna Burton led three Highlanders with double-digit digs, totaling 15.
  • Cheyanne James and Kelby Jackson contributed 10 digs apiece.
  • Haley Kleespies engineered Radford's offense behind her 40 assists.
  • Caroline Douglas and Jade Vorster chipped in nine kills apiece for the Flames.
