HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Radford won its third straight Big South volleyball match Friday night, outlasting Campbell in five sets inside the Dedmon Center.
  • The Highlanders' offense started clicking in the final two frames, hitting .353 and .261 in the fourth and fifth sets, respectively.
  • Down match point at 14-13, RU reeled off three points in a row, capped by Savanna Burton's match-winner.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Radford relied heavily on the arm of Maddie Palmer, who put down a match-high 18 kills on 50 swings (.200). She totaled eight in the fourth stanza.
  • Valerie Gonzalez tied her season high of 14 kills, while hitting .462.
  • Megan Short, the reigning Big South player of the week, reached double-figure kills for the fifth straight match, tallying 11 kills. She also contributed a team-high four blocks.
  • Haley Kleespies totaled 55 assists, marking the sixth time she eclipsed the 50-assist plateau, to go along with her 11 digs. It was the ninth double-double of her freshman campaign.
  • Kelby Jackson led five Highlanders in double figures, defensively, with 19 digs.
  • Rachel Harty cranked a team-best 14 kills for the Camels.
  • Mary Crema anchored the back row for the visitors, racking up a match-high 28 digs.
  • Prior to tonight, Campbell had gone 5-2 in its previous seven matches.
  • The Highlanders move into sole possession of fifth place in the Big South standings and are one win away from clinching a spot in the Big South tournament.
