HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Record: 7-6
  • Radford looks to wrap up a challenging non-conference schedule with a winning record and extend its streak of victories over non-Division I opponents to 34 in a row.
  • Over the last three games, the Highlanders have gotten career-high scoring performances from Ed Polite, Jr., Kion Brown, Taj Owens and Caleb Tanner.
  • Polite, Jr. leads the Big South and is 32nd nationally in offensive rebounds with 46 and has pulled down at least three in nine of the 13 games. As a team, Radford ranks first in the conference and 35th in the nation with 13.9 per contest.
  • After limiting Chattanooga, the 20th-best 3-point shooting team in the NCAA to 28 percent, the Highlanders now rank 17th in the country in 3-point percentage defense. They are second in the Big South, trailing only UNC Asheville.
  • Radford is also second in the conference in blocked shots and have three of the top 13 individually. Polite, Jr. is tied for second with 17, Brandon Holcomb is seventh with 14 and Darius Bolstad is 13th with nine.
  • Rashun Davis is second in the league in assists per game (4.6), seventh in scoring (14.5) and tied for fourth in steals (21). His four 20-plus point scoring games this season are one shy of his total from his first three seasons.
  • Cameron Jones ranks fifth in the conference in 3-point percentage (40.3) and is averaging 12.2 points per game, while Polite, Jr. is at 10.1 ppg and a team-best 5.8 rebounds per game.
  • A total of 10 different Highlanders have now had at least one double-figure scoring game this year.
  • The loss to Chattanooga was RU's first when scoring at least 75 points in a game since the double overtime setback to Gardner-Webb last January.

SCOUTING CENTRAL PENN
  • Record: 13-6
  • A member of the United State College Athletic Association Division 2, this will be Central Penn's fifth game this season against an NCAA Division I opponent. The Knights lost to Liberty (86-50), Howard (98-79), VMI (107-72) and, most recently, Maryland Eastern Shore (115-86).
  • John Starks, Jr. – son of the former New York Knicks star – is in his first season at Central Penn after spending one year at a junior college in Minnesota. Starks, Jr. is second on the team in scoring with 16.9 points per game and is averaging over three made 3-pointers per contest.
  • Tyree Tucker leads the team in scoring at 18.1 per game, while Dominique Twiggs is at 16.6.
  • Starks, Jr. and Tucker are the team's tallest players at 6-foot-4.
  • The Knights have scored over 100 points nine times this year and are averaging 90.4 points while taking just under 75 field-goal attempts per game.

UP NEXT
  • Radford begins the rest of its Big South schedule with a New Year's Eve clash at preseason favorite High Point on Thursday.
  • Tipoff in the Millis Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.
