RADFORD, Va. – Sole possession of second place in the Big South Conference women's basketball standings will be up for grabs Saturday at 12 p.m. when Radford and Campbell square off inside the Dedmon Center. The league tilt coincides with the Highlanders' Senior Day and Play 4Kay game.

***Fans, please take notice of the time change from the original tipoff of 2 p.m. Conference officials and parties from both teams agreed to move tipoff to 12 p.m. due to Saturday's weather forecast.

Radford's three seniors, Ayana Avery, Jordynn Gaymon and Kiera McIvor, in addition to former player and current student assistant, La-She' Walker, will be honored prior to tipoff. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11:50 a.m.

RADFORD ROUNDUP
The Highlanders (15-11, 12-5 Big South) will look to end a four-game losing skid in the Campbell series, which RU leads, 19-12. Radford lost to the Camels, 65-62, in overtime on Jan. 17.

A win against Campbell would give the Highlanders a one-game lead for second place with two regular-season games to go. Radford is on the brink of program history, needing only one more Big South win to set a program-record 13 league triumphs.

RU, which has won 12 of its past 15 contests, suffered a 66-45 setback to Winthrop in its last time out. Aisha Foy led the Highlanders in scoring for the eighth time this season with 10 points. Ayana Avery passed former teammate Ashley Buckhannon for 14th place on the all-time scoring list with 1,143 career points.

Avery and Foy both average double-figure scoring for RU at 10.5 points per game. The duo accounts for 75.9 percent (104-137) of the Highlanders' 3-pointers made. Avery leads the Big South with her 2.5 triples per contest.

Over in the rebounding department, Jordynn Gaymon pulls down 7.3 caroms per contest. Her average ranks ninth in the conference. Janayla White ranks 10th in rebounding at 7.2 boards per outing. On top of her rebounding, White ranks third in the Big South in blocks per game, rejecting 1.9 shots per outing.

Paced by Foy's .412 clip from long range, Radford tops the Big South in 3-point field goal percentage (.348). Foy and Avery rank first and third, respectively, in 3-point shooting among Big South players.

SCOUTING CAMPBELL
Like Radford, the Camels (17-9, 12-5 Big South) are one of the hottest teams in the league. They have won six in a row, which is the second-longest streak in the league behind Liberty's eight-game winning streak.

Campbell has not faired well on the road this season, posting a 4-8 record. However, all four of the Camels' road wins have come in conference play.

Kiera Gaines, the Big South Defensive Player of the Year last season, averages 11.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game for the Camels.

RaeChaun Edwards manages the offense with her 6.3 assists per game. That average leads the Big South and ranks 14th, nationally. Gaines and Edwards have combined to win the last two Big South players of the week.

Campbell leads the league in assists per game (15.6), steals per game (9.7) and assist/turnover ratio (0.8).

UP NEXT
Radford plays its home finale Tuesday at 7 p.m. against UNC Asheville. RU will aim to go 2-0 against the Bulldogs this season after prevailing, 67-65, on Jan. 20 in Asheville, N.C.
