RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's basketball team will look for a rare season sweep of Longwood when the two teams collide Tuesday at 7 p.m. inside the Dedmon Center. If the Highlanders were to prevail, it would mark the first season sweep of their in-state foes since 1984.

RADFORD ROUNDUP
The Highlanders (13-10, 10-4 Big South) reached double-digit wins in conference play for the first time since the 2010-11 season with a 75-68 triumph over Presbyterian College, Saturday afternoon. RU has now won 10 of its last 12 games.

Radford's 75 points were the most allowed by PC in regulation this season. The Blue Hose last gave up 75 points or more to an opponent in regulation on Jan. 9, 2014 when High Point reached the mark.

RU will be aiming for its second straight home win over the Lancers. The Highlanders defeated Longwood, 57-51, on Jan. 16, 2014, snapping a program-worst 15-game losing streak. Ayana Avery dialed up a game-high 20 points in that contest, including 16 in the opening stanza.

In this season's first encounter, Radford scored a season-high 78 points on its way to a 78-60 road victory over the Lancers inside Willett Hall. Aisha Foy chalked up 16 points, while Jayda Worthy (16 points, 13 rebounds) and Janayla White (15 points, 11 rebounds) delivered double-doubles.

Avery and Foy average double-figure scoring for RU at 10.7 and 10.1 points per game, respectively. The duo accounts for 75 percent (90-120) of the Highlanders' 3-pointers made. Avery leads the Big South with her 2.4 triples per contest.

Over in the rebounding department, Jordynn Gaymon pulls down 7.4 caroms per contest. Her average ranks ninth in the conference. White ranks 10th in rebounding at 7.2 boards per outing. On top of her rebounding, White ranks third in the Big South in blocks per game, rejecting 1.8 shots per outing.

Paced by Foy's .410 clip from long range, Radford tops the Big South in 3-point field goal percentage (.346). Foy is one of three Highlanders who average at least 30 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

SCOUTING LONGWOOD
The Lancers (3-21, 3-12 Big South) enter Tuesday's game on a five-game losing skid. They have lost by an average of 13 points during this span.

Longwood is searching for its first road win of the season. The Lancers are being outscored by nearly 24 points per game in their 14 road losses. LU is coming off an 80-53 defeat at Gardner-Webb on Saturday.

The Lancers are a scrappy, guard-oriented team—only one of their 12 available players stands over six feet. The injury bug bit Longwood at the beginning of the season, losing two of its top players.

LU generates 35 percent of its offense from beyond the arc. Longwood averages a conference-high 6.7 3-pointers per game.

Rebounding will also play a vital role in Tuesday's game. Opponents are outrebounding the Lancers by 13.9 boards per game. Radford was able to win the battle on the glass, 43-26, in the two teams' first meeting of the season.

Raven Williams leads Longwood in scoring at 13.5 points per game. She has made a team-best 40 3-pointers on the season and passes out 3.1 assists per game.
