RU OPENS NCAA POSTSEASON PLAY FRIDAY IN NASHVILLE REGIONAL AGAINST INDIANA

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nationally-ranked as high as No. 17 and appearing in an NCAA Regional for the first time, #2-seed Radford (43-14) will face #3-seed Indiana (34-22) in the opening game of the Nashville Regional on Friday at 2:00 p.m. (CT) at Hawkins Field. Vanderbilt, the top seed in the region, is hosting the regional and will face #4-seed Lipscomb in Friday's other opening round game.
The game will feature two of the hottest teams in the country heading into the tournament. IU won nine of its final 10 regular-season games and has won 11 of its last 14 overall before falling in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament. Radford is one of four teams entering the NCAA Tournament with a double-digit win streak. The Highlanders have won 15 straight, one behind the current national high of 16 games held by Missouri State.
This will be the first meeting all-time between the two schools.
SCOUTING THE HOOSIERS
Indiana is making its third consecutive trip and fifth overall to the NCAA Tournament. The Hoosiers made it to the College World Series in Omaha in the 2013 season. IU is led by two All-Big Ten performers. Senior DH Scott Donley was named to the second team, his third straight year on an All-Big Ten team, and sophomore OF Craig Dedelow made the third team.

Radford ace Michael Boyle will start against the Hoosiers, making his 16th start of the season.
