After a sluggish first half, the Bucs came out of the locker room firing on all cylinders. CSU quickly scored six straight points, cutting the RU lead to 28-23, two minutes into the half. The Highlanders battled back, closing out the third quarter on a 14-3 run as a Foy jumper sent RU into the final stanza leading, 39-26.

In the fourth quarter, CSU attempted to cut into the deficit, but were unable to gain ground as the Highlanders answered every Buccaneer shot. Radford went 11 for 15 from the free-throw line, sealing a 55-40 defensive battle.

The Highlanders head to Boiling Springs, N.C. for Saturday's pivotal conference clash with Gardner-Webb, who is also tied for first place in the Big South. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. from Paul Porter Arena.

QUOTABLE
  • "I told our ladies in the locker room after the game, there is just something about this team. There is a lot of heart, a lot of resilience. They just fight like crazy, whether we have 13 that can play or we have eight. There is no quit, no give up. I just like the mentality of this team. I think the heart of this team is growing. That's what you want to see moving forward." ~ Radford head coach, Mike McGuire
