LAST MEETING
Gaby Gilmore dropped in 19 points en route to the Highlanders' first Big South win of the season—a 61-45 decision over Coastal Carolina. It was Radford's 13th straight home win, but the first against the Chants inside the Dedmon Center since Jan. 17, 2013.

RU led by as many as 25 (38-13) in the opening 20 minutes of action, but Coastal made a charge to cut its deficit to 14 (38-24) at the break. The Chants managed 22 offensive rebounds in the loss—the most given up by Radford this season.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
Radford (10-10, 6-5 Big South) was unable to hold on to its halftime lead against Big South co-leader UNC Asheville Saturday afternoon as the Bulldogs pulled off a 54-46 come-from-behind win over RU inside the Dedmon Center.

It was the Highlanders' third loss in a row and fourth straight game Radford failed to score more than 55 points. Despite the offensive woes, the Highlanders have continued their defensive prowess. Over the past four games, RU opponents have averaged only 51 points per game and 33 percent shooting.

Of Radford's 10 losses, only one has been by double digits (15 at NC State). The Highlanders are only losing by an average of 6.4 points per game. That average drops to 5.0 points per game in their five league setbacks.

Aisha Foy leads the Highlanders in the scoring column, averaging 13.1 points per game, which rank ninth among Big South players. The Virginia Beach, Va., native ranks fifth in the conference with her 36.7 percent accuracy from 3-point range. With a pair of treys Saturday, she moved past Kelli Tull for fifth place in program history for 3-pointers made in a career (123).

Janayla White joins Foy in double-figure scoring at 11.9 points per game. White notched her fifth straight double-double against UNC Asheville, delivering 12 points and 17 rebounds. Behind her 10.2 rebounding average, White is the only Big South women's basketball player to average a double-double.

Coming off a career-high five blocks, the sophomore now ranks second in the conference in blocks per game (2.2). She ranks seventh all-time in career blocks in program history with 92.

White (.587) and Jayda Worthy (.508) rank first and second, respectively, in field-goal percentage among Big South players.

SCOUTING COASTAL CAROLINA
The Chanticleers (7-12, 2-8 Big South) are also on a three-game slide after falling 73-52 at Campbell on Saturday. It was their second loss of the season to the Camels.

Nicole Isaacs had a huge game for Coastal, pouring in a game-high 23 points, which included six 3-pointers. The redshirt senior leads the Chants in scoring at 10.8 points per game. Her top two scoring outputs of the season came against Campbell. However, she has been held scoreless twice this season—the first time coming at Radford on Dec. 29.

Isaacs is a threat from 3-point range, connecting on 37.5 percent of her attempts from deep. As a team, Coastal averages 6.1 3-pointers per game (second in the Big South).

Ced Gibson manages the offense with her 3.4 assists per game, which rank third in the Big South. Coastal averages 64.3 points per game (second-best in the league). The Chants entered the first meeting averaging 71.5 points per game and was held to just 45 points.

UP NEXT
Radford returns to the Commonwealth for Sunday's 2 p.m. in-state showdown with Liberty inside the Vines Center. The 65th all-time meeting will be televised on the American Sports Network. The Lady Flames, who are tied with UNC Asheville for first place in the conference standings, edged RU (49-43) on Jan. 2 at the Dedmon Center.
