QUOTABLE
  • "Winthrop is very physical and athletic. We had to focus on rebounding, limiting their trips to the free-throw line and limiting their dribble penetration. For the most part, I thought we did a good job in those areas today. Sixty rebounds, limiting Winthrop to 10 offensive rebounds, while we get 25—those are some good numbers. The Big South has a lot of parity this year. For us to be 3-2 right now, I'm pleased with that, especially with the injury situation we have had to work through. I think winning at Presbyterian was a big win for us. We had to get that monkey off our back (in terms of winning on the road). We had a really good Winthrop team in here today, and we have Campbell coming in here on Monday, so we have another short turnaround. Campbell is very good, so we need to do our very best to prepare in the short amount of time we have." ~ Radford head coach, Mike McGuire
