HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Record: 0-1
  • Coming off a 70-56 season opening loss at George Mason on Nov. 11, Radford looks for its seventh consecutive season that the Highlanders have collected at least one win in their first two games of the season, dating back to 2010-11.
  • In the season opening loss, Radford fell behind early, trailing 16-5 at the end of the first quarter. The Highlanders outscored the Patriots 17-13 in the fourth quarter, attempting a late comeback.
  • The 70 Patriot points are the most the Highlanders have yielded since Dec. 18, 2015 at Wofford. The Highlander defense only allowed two opponents to score over 70 points in 2015-16.
  • Destinee Walker just missed matching a career high in points in the loss, finishing with a team-high 12 points on 3 of 5 shooting from the field. Walker paced the Highlanders from the free-throw line, going 5 for 8.
  • In her first collegiate game, Khiana Johnson poured in 10 points to round out the Highlanders' double-figure scorers.
  • Jayda Worthy filled out the stat sheet; finishing with eight points, five rebounds, four assists and four blocks. She has led the Highlanders in assists 19 times during her career.
  • Worthy's four blocks ranked seventh nationally through games of Nov. 14.
  • The Highlanders went 15 for 22 from the charity stripe in the contest for a 68.2 free throw percentage, ranking third in the league.
  • Radford finished with 31 bench points, the most since an 80-64 win over Longwood on Feb. 20, 2016 in which Highlanders tallied 30 bench points.
  • The Big South will play six Atlantic 10 opponents this season (Davidson, Dayton, Fordham, George Mason, Richmond, VCU). The only two Big South games on Saturday are Big South vs. A-10 as Campbell plays host to VCU.
