RADFORD, Va. – Radford's women's indoor track and field team is set for its final meet before next week's Big South Championship, as it competes in the Virginia Tech Challenge Friday and Saturday.
The Highlanders are coming off a weekend in which they set nine personal bests. They will be joined in the field by fellow conference teams High Point and Winthrop, along with Clemson, Duke, North Carolina, South Carolina, VMI and James Madison, among others.
Friday's events on the track include the 60, 400, 800 and 1,000 meters, along with the 60 hurdles and the mile run. The meet begins with the long jump getting underway at 5 p.m., with the weight throw also held in the field.
The Big South meet will also be held at Virginia Tech's Rector Fieldhouse.
