LAST MEETING
Senior point guard Aisha Foy dialed up 21 points to lift Radford to a 64-53 victory over Presbyterian on Jan. 4 inside the Templeton Center in Clinton, S.C. Led by Foy's third 20-point performance of the season, the Highlanders were able to notch their first road win since Feb. 14, 2015.

RU took control in the third quarter, outscoring the Blue Hose by 12 (21-9) to build a 46-36 advantage heading into the final stanza.

In addition to Foy, Janayla White (12) and Gaby Gilmore (11) also reached double-figure scoring.

Radford, which handed PC just its second loss at home this season, was stellar defensively. The Highlanders recorded a season-high-tying 10 blocks while holding the Blue Hose to just 15 of 47 from the floor.

Taylor Petty scored a team-high 18 points for Presbyterian, including 15 in the second half.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
Coming off its bye weekend, Radford (15-12, 11-7 Big South) enters the home stretch of its schedule. With two games remaining in the regular season, the Highlanders control their own destiny for a first-round bye.

Following its 67-38 victory over Winthrop Tuesday night, RU pulled to within one game of Presbyterian for fourth place in the conference standings. A win Tuesday night over the Blue Hose would give Radford the tiebreaker if the two teams ended in a tie at the conclusion of the regular season. Meanwhile, High Point lurks just one game behind the Highlanders in sixth place.

In Radford's win over Winthrop, the Highlanders were able to knock down a season-high-tying eight 3-pointers at a 50 percent clip (8-16). Destinee Walker, who posted a season-high 13 points off the bench, led all players with three trifectas.

Janayla White delivered her ninth double-double of the season in Radford's first win inside Winthrop Coliseum since Jan. 12, 2009. The sophomore contributed a career-high-tying 19 points and a game-high 16 rebounds. It was her sixth time going over 15 rebounds this season.

White continues to lead the Big South in field-goal percentage at 56.3 percent. She is also the only player in the Big South to average a double-double (12 ppg, 10.1 rpg).

In addition to White, Lydia Rivers also averages at least eight rebounds per game. The post tandem ranks first and fourth, respectively, among Big South players in rebounding. Radford is the only team to have two of its players in the top four of the league.

White, who recorded the 100th block of her career earlier this season, is on her way to another career milestone. The Virginia Beach, Va., native is 27 rebounds from becoming the 19th member of the 500-rebound club. White would be one of just five players in program history to have 100 career blocks and 500 career rebounds.

Radford continues to lead the conference in field-goal percentage defense. Opponents only connect on 34 percent of their shots when playing the Highlanders.

Tuesday's game features two of the top defenses in the Big South. RU ranks second in scoring defense at 54.5 points per game, while Presbyterian has the top mark at 54.1 points per game.

SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN
The Blue Hose (16-11, 12-6 Big South) comes to the New River Valley following Saturday's 77-44 triumph over Winthrop at home. PC is 12-2 inside the Templeton Center. Ironically, Radford is the last team to hand the Blue Hose a loss at home.

On the other hand, Presbyterian has found it much more difficult winning on the road. The Blue Hose has a 4-9 ledger as the away team and has dropped four straight road decisions. Its last road win came against Campbell, 69-45, on Jan. 19.

Presbyterian has failed to score more than 47 points in its last three road losses.

Three-point shooting will be key for the Blue Hose to be able to stretch Radford's defense. PC canned 11 treys against the Eagles on Saturday, led by Taylor Petty's five. Petty made four of the Blue Hose's seven 3-pointers in the first meeting against Radford this season.

Presbyterian leads the conference in 3-pointers made per game, averaging seven per contest. Petty knocks down 2.4 each time out, which is tops in the league.

Petty, who is the frontrunner for Big South Freshman of the Year, leads PC in scoring at 11.5 points per game. If she wins the postseason honor given to the league's top freshman, it would mark the second straight season a Presbyterian player earned the award (Cortney Storey, 2015). Petty has reached double-figure scoring in four straight outings.

Storey ranks second among Big South players in assists per game (4.4) while ranking seventh in steals per game (1.7).

UP NEXT
Radford heads to Buies Creek, N.C. for its regular-season finale against Campbell. Due to the semifinals of the 2016 Big South Men's Basketball Championship being played earlier in the day, the game will tip no sooner than 7:30 p.m. from Gore Arena.
