PINK GAME SET FOR TUESDAY AGAINST GARDNER-WEBB

RADFORD, Va. – Radford returns home for a pivotal Big South women's basketball clash Tuesday at 7 p.m. against Gardner-Webb inside the Dedmon Center. The game is one of only two contests remaining in the regular season where the Highlanders are hosting a team ranked above them in the conference standings.

In addition, Tuesday marks the annual pink game. Gardner-Webb will wear commemorative pink uniforms, while Radford will be in its home whites.

LAST MEETING
Radford saw its five-game Big South winning streak snapped at the hands of Gardner-Webb, 54-50, despite a 15-point and 21-rebound effort from Janayla White, on Jan. 23 inside Paul Porter Arena.

White grabbed 21 of Radford's 51 rebounds, including eight on the offensive glass. Joining White in double figures, Jayda Worthy finished with 13 points and Aisha Foy followed with 11 points.

Alexus Hill scored 14 of her game-high 20 points in the second half to fuel the Runnin' Bulldogs' comeback.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
Radford (11-11, 7-6 Big South) dropped to .500 on the season by falling for the 11th straight time to Liberty on Sunday. The Flames outscored RU, 16-6, in the second quarter to erase a five-point deficit and cruise to a 67-53 victory inside the Vines Center.

Liberty became the first opponent since Longwood (Jan. 16) to score more than 60 points on the Highlanders. The Flames' 51 percent shooting was a season high by a Radford opponent. Liberty joined NC State as the only two teams to defeat the Highlanders by double digits.

Despite Sunday's performance, RU continues to lead the Big South in scoring defense (55.0) and field-goal percentage defense (.344). Radford also leads the league in blocks per game (5.3).

Foy leads the Highlanders in the scoring column, averaging 13.2 points per game, which rank ninth among Big South players. The Virginia Beach, Va., native ranks fifth in the conference with her 36.1 percent accuracy from 3-point range. She ranks fifth all-time in program history for 3-pointers made in a career (126).

Janayla White joins Foy in double-figure scoring at 11.6 points per game. Behind her 10.6 rebounding average, which leads the league, White is the only Big South women's basketball player to average a double-double.

She has accumulated 108 rebounds over her past seven games for a 15.4 rebounds per game average. The sophomore is on pace to post a top-five single-season mark in rebounding by the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

White ranks second in the conference in blocks per game (2.2). She ranks fifth all-time in career blocks in program history with 96. White also leads the Big South in field-goal percentage (.577).

Radford recorded 10 steals at Liberty, marking the first time the Highlanders tallied double-figure steals since Dec. 12 vs. Concord. White (four) and Gaby Gilmore (three) combined for seven of Radford's takeaways. Gilmore ranks third in the Big South in steals per game (2.1).

SCOUTING GARDNER-WEBB
After suffering back-to-back losses to Liberty and Presbyterian, which snapped their six-game winning streak, the Runnin' Bulldogs (15-8, 9-4 Big South) have won their last two outings by double digits.

Gardner-Webb roughed up on injury-plagued Winthrop, 70-52, on Saturday and is one win away from surpassing its win total from last season. Alexus Hill scored a game-high 18 points and the Runnin' Bulldogs won the rebounding battle, 51-27, to avenge an earlier loss in the season to Winthrop.

The quartet of Olivia Parker, Candace Brown, Alexus Hill and Tierra Huntsman account for 76 percent of the Runnin' Bulldogs' scoring. All four average double figures, led by Brown's 13.9 points per game. Parker, a senior forward from Charlotte, N.C., leads Gardner-Webb in the rebounding department with 8.8 boards per game, which rank third in the Big South.

Huntsman is Gardner-Webb's top threat from downtown, connecting on 34.6 percent of her attempts from 3-point range. Her 37 3-pointers made are more than double the number of the next closest for the Runnin' Bulldogs.

Even though the Highlanders are a top rebounding team in the league, they will have to make sure they limit Gardner-Webb's second-chance opportunities. The Runnin' Bulldogs rank second in the league in offensive rebounds per game (15.2).

UP NEXT
Radford hits the road for its next two contests, beginning with Saturday's trip to Charleston Southern. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. from the Buc Dome.
